This will be a full-day technical session to update the geological community on the early history of the forming and filling of the Gulf of Mexico Basin.  These structural and tectonic events provided the “vessel” into which the reservoirs and source rocks, below the pre-Cretaceous Unconformity, were deposited.  Understanding this early history will unveil new opportunities for exploration and production.
